Different Marks is a collaborative project between Martin Dawson (King Roc, Two Armadillo), Grzegorz Demiañczuk and Voitek Tarañczuk (Catz N’ Dogz). On 12th November last year, Martin unexpectedly passed away. So sad. The album was completed shortly before his tragic death. It’s a lovely pop-infused upbeat album with lots of pretty melodies and percussion, featuring a roster of talented vocalists whose names you’ll recognise like Cari Golden and Ben Westbeech. Our favourite tracks are the smooth and soulful ‘Lavender Lady’, dramatic emotive ‘If You Ask Me’, which builds into a glorious guitar finale and final track ‘You Help Me’ which has a bit of dubstep going on. A nice piece of work and a lovely last bow from a well loved and respected producer.
The album has been made available for free DL via the Different Marks website which is a lovely touch.
